If you having an interview please read the following:
When coming to a tax interview it helps us if you are prepared with documentation. It will speed up how quickly we can get your tax return back to you and will lower the cost of preparation.
List of documents to bring to your interview
1. Filled out tax organizer if you received one
2. W2’s, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-Misc, K-1’s (from partnerships, s-corps, or trusts)
3. Stock sales including basis (purchase price) and purchase date
4. Settlement Statements (if you sold or purchased a house)
5. Rental income & expenses (if you rent out your basement or have a rental unit)
6. Unreimbursed medical expenses, including premiums
7. Charitable contribution statements
8. 1098 for Mortgage Interest Statement and Real Estate Taxes paid
9. 1098-T for tuition AND how much you paid for books and lab fees
10. Social Security Numbers and Date of Birth of any new dependents
11. Anything else that you think that may be relevant for taxes
12. If you are a new client, a copy of your last year's tax return
If you own a business, please bring the following
1. Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, (if you have them)
2. 1099's
3. Listing of expenses/purchases for business
4. Number of miles you drove for business
5. If you are a new client, a copy of your last year's tax return and depreciation schedules
